Hey Kinners!
I am Izzy (she/her) and I’m so incredibly grateful to be your KUS President this year! I’m in my fifth year in the multidisciplinary stream.
I have been serving kinners for the last 4 years and I can’t wait to do it one last time. There is truly no better community than this one and I’m so excited to have you be a part of it! We have some kinmazing stuff planned for you and we can’t wait to see you there. Some current hobbies I have are hot pilates and yoga, baking bread, makeup, and scuba diving!

VP Finance – Austin Gou
Hi everyone!
My name is Austin and I am thrilled to be your VP Finance this year! I am a third year Kinesiology student in the multidisciplinary stream with a minor in Educational Psychology and Special Education.
This is my third year being a part of the KUS and I am very happy to be continuing my involvement. I manage the budget for the KUS, process reimbursements, invoices, and room bookings. I also have three lovely committees under me being Kintramurals, Kindergarten Finance, and Office Decorating Committee. Outside of the KUS, I enjoy working out, playing volleyball, or hanging out with friends.

VP Academic - Nadina Ismaeil
HI KINNERS!! I’m Nadina Ismaeil and your VP Academic (and nap-ademic) for the 2025-2026 year! I am in my third year in the Neuromechanical and Physiological sciences stream. This is my third year involved in the KUS and I am very thankful to be a part of a community that has added so much value, fun, and mentorship to my undergrad experience.
My goals for this year are to continue expanding academic resources and grad school support (check the academic resources tab!), increase hands-on learning and career opportunities, and advocate for all kin students while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
When I’m not working or napping in the KUS office, you can usually find me in the gym, IKB, or the lab with a caffeinated beverage in hand. I love travelling to new countries, dancing with my friends, trying new restaurants, and long drives while blasting music!

VP Communications - Leah Woo
Hi UBC Kin!
My name is Leah (she/her) and I’m so excited to be your VP Communications this year! I am currently in my fourth year in the multidisciplinary stream.
This is my second year involved with the KUS and I’m so happy to be able to give back to the Kin community! As a transfer student I didn’t know where to start with school involvement but the KUS welcomed me with open arms and I can’t wait to do the same for all of you. We have some amazing Comms initiatives for you, including our brand new KUS Yearbook.
In my spare time I love to play volleyball, hike, gym, or paddle-board!

My name is Ashley (she/her) and I’m 1/2 of your VP Student life this year! I’m currently in my fourth year, and I’m so excited to help support and represent our incredible KINmmunity!
This is my 3rd year being involved with the KUS, and I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to give back to a faculty that has shaped so much of my university experience. I’m looking forward to all of the amazing events we have planned for you this year and meeting all of you beauties. What up KINNERS! I’m Josh (UJ) and I’m stoked to be one half of your VP Student Life team this year! I’m in my fourth year of Kinesiology in the Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences stream. My name is Palak (she/her) and I am super excited to be your VP External this year! I am in my fourth and final year of my degree in the Neuromuscular and Physiological Sciences stream. I’ve been involved with the KUS since my first year and have met so many incredible people through the different roles I’ve taken on! I can’t wait to help the KUS grow and contribute to your student experience. When I’m not studying in the basement of Koerner, I’m usually curled up in a book, trying out a new restaurant with my friends, or on a long walk around campus!
