  • Disabled Sailing Association of BC (DSA) Land Coordinator

    May 25 to Aug 28th, 2026

    This position is responsible for coordinating land logistics for a very busy sailing program, handling a wide range of responsibilities. It requires maturity, good judgment, strong coordination and organizational skills. This is a very much hands-on position, and can be physically challenging. Great work experience for a student to develop strong teambuilding skills, time management skills, and an opportunity to interact with children and adults with significant physical disabilities. The ability to work in a team environment with staff, volunteers and clients is essential. While sailing experience is not required, the ideal candidate should show initiative and be willing to learn, as the opportunities present themselves. First aid certification/CPR required. Our clients are people with physical disabilities and our services are adapted to align with their requirements.

  • Adaptive Sailing Association of BC Sailing Instructor

    May 25th to Aug 28th, 2026

    The Adaptive Sailing Association of BC is recruiting sailing instructors for the summer. Based at Jericho Sailing Centre, our program offers recreational and competitive sailing opportunities for adults and children with physical disabilities. This position would provide recreational sailing, with instruction as required, to sailors with disabilities. Excellent people skills are required, along with a professional demeanor. The ability to work in a team environment with staff, volunteers and clients is essential. Our clients are people with physical disabilities and our services are adapted to align with their requirements.

  • Tetra Program Assistant

    June 1st-Aug 28th

    Reporting to the Tetra Program Manager and working closely with the National Tetra Coordinator, the Tetra Program Assistant has an integral role in ensuring Tetra Society initiatives are managed effectively, efficiently and within set budgets. With the client-experience first and foremost, the Assistant works in a team setting with the Tetra Program Manager, National coordinator and Program Coordinators, volunteers, and contracted positions. Together, we deliver Tetra programs to ensure our clients have meaningful experiences and that we deliver valued impact in the lives of people with disabilities.

  • Disability Foundation Volunteer Engagement Assistant

    Reports to the Volunteer Coordinator & Program Managers, the Volunteer Engagement Assistant has an integral role in ensuring the affiliated Societies have engaged and skilled volunteers who are able to help deliver programs effectively, efficiently and safely. With the client-experience first and foremost, the Volunteer Engagement Assistant works in a team setting with the Executive Director, Program Managers and Program Coordinators, volunteers, and contracted positions. Together, we implement the volunteer framework to ensure delivery of all programs and that our clients have meaningful and valued experiences. The Volunteer Engagement Assistant also supports the Program Managers and the Executive Director with projects to support our affiliated societies.

    DIGA is an established Vancouver not-for-profit organization that supports people with disabilities, including adults, youth and seniors, of all ethnic backgrounds. Adaptive gardening provides opportunities for healthy activity, socializing, reducing isolation and enhancing the quality of life.

    The Program Assistant assists the DIGA Program Coordinator in many aspects of program operations. DIGA clients are people with physical disabilities and our services are adapted to align with their requirements.

  • VAMS CSJ 2026 - Communications Assistant

    May 12, 15 weeks

    The Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS) provides opportunities for people with physical disabilities to learn, play, record and perform music. VAMS operates a fully accessible music studio at the GF Strong Rehab Centre, where VAMS staff and volunteers assist at various stages in the musical process, beginning with the first steps taken by people with recent spinal cord injuries to explore music as part of their rehabilitation. We support people through the entire spectrum of musical pursuits, including assisting the more accomplished musicians to record, mix and arrange their music in the studio and perform live at concert venues and festivals across Vancouver.

    Communications Assistant Working closely with all members of the VAMS team and program coordinators, the Communications Assistant will be promoting initiatives and opportunities for assistance and social engagement for people with physical disabilities. Digital channels include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, SoundCloud and YouTube.

    ConnecTra Society is a non-profit connecting agency, linking people living with disabilities to activities, services, resources and opportunities aimed at creating a more inclusive community in British Columbia.

    Their goal is to bring together people living with disabilities from all across the province to participate in their workshops and programs. They believe that engaged, informed and empowered individuals build better communities.

    The program assistant coordinator assists the program coordinator in all aspects of event and workshop planning, community engagement, fundraising, and administration.

    Year-round

    Wheelchair sports aims to help people with physical disabilities across the province live active and healthy lives through Wheelchair sports. They are strong advocates for athletes with disabilities and work to reduce participation barriers. BC Wheelchair sports has 3 core sports: Wheelchair Athletics (Track and Field), Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Rugby. Through a volunteer position you get to gain experience with people with disabilities, give back the community and have fun while doing it!

  • Kids Physio Group Volunteers

    Kids Physio is the first clinic in BC to provide physio just for kids. They provide services to kids ranging from newborns to teens in a fun and engaging way. They do work with concussions, rehabilitation, prehabilitation and more.   • Vancouver Coastal Health Volunteer Opportunities

    Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) offers various volunteer roles that enhance patient and visitor experiences. Opportunities include wayfinding, patient companionship, support in clinics, and assisting with special events. Roles may involve patient interaction, therapeutic activities like music and pet therapy, and support for mental health programs.   • UBC Volentia Volunteer

    Year-Round

    Volentia Healthcare Translation is a registered non-profit providing free healthcare interpretation and translation services to immigrants, newcomers, and those with low English-language proficiency. By providing free language services, their goal is to increase the accessibility and improve the quality of culturally safe healthcare, as well as enhance the therapeutic relationship between patients and physicians. As a volunteer, you will attend healthcare appointments to facilitate patient-physician communication. You will also have the opportunity to take on research-related tasks such as written translation and transcription. Volunteers must be proficient in English and a secondary language.

  • All Bodies Community (ABC) Recreation and Fitness Program

    ABC provides guided physical activities, educational workshops, social connections, community outreach and multiple choice-based entry points for fit and not-so-fit young to older adults, new or returning to recreational physical activity. As a volunteer, you help to engage, impact, and empower the community to physical activity while building new skills and gaining valuable face-to-face interactive experience with a diverse and multigenerational community.
