Lift Clinic

Lift Performance and Rehabilitation Clinic is a purpose-built therapy and kinesiology business. We are a values-based company that believes in lifting people as a team, so that they can take steps toward success by their own definition. This mentality is applied with purpose to our clinicians, staff, clients and community, and is a large part of why we’re here participating in this KUS/Kindustry event. Clinically we offer high quality physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy and kinesiology services. Our clinicians work as a team, and strive to be highly competent and literate in all aspects of assessment and treatment needed to address client goals along the spectrum of rehabilitation to performance. For example, if a client has hurt their back deadlifting, they can expect to be thoroughly assessed and understand the root cause of their injury while also seeing a practitioner who will advocate for them to rebuild their confidence and address any technique issues in the lift. This can be contrasted with professionals who would tell the client to take time off or stop deadlifting altogether, which may send a harmful negative message to the client and fall short of addressing the root cause of the problem.

What are three traits that you look for in a student volunteer/worker?

  • Demonstrated alignment with clinic values (team, caring, growth, communication, efficacy and community)

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in rehabilitation and performance exercise as well as injury prevention and management

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and function effectively as a mentee and team member

What is a piece of advice that you would give to students attending the Kindustry career fair?

When you come, be comfortable asking questions. All of the people here are literally taking their day to come and talk with you, so take advantage of the opportunity, be willing to get out of your comfort zone or help yourself and others connect with meaningful conversations and opportunities! Be clear in what you want as you attend - general information, broadening your horizons or actively pursuing an opportunity. If you’re keen to actively get involved with us or any other organization, learning about the values of the organization and opportunity in advance and asking specific questions is ideal/recommended.

Please provide any links to volunteer opportunities or job opportunities that you would like to offer students and that might be of interest to them.
