Provides students with a learning opportunity through a panel of diverse professionals and athletes sharing their experiences and knowledge with gender and sexuality in sport and physical activity, fostering a space that empowers students to navigate these complexities with confidence, empathy, and understanding.

Interested in research? Want to get research experience? Then this event is for you! It will feature four different kinesiology labs and you will hear from current PhD students and professors about their reserach and how to get involved. There will be introductory presentations given by each lab followed by a structured Q&A session and then an open mingling portion where students get to connect with our panelists! Refreshments will be provided.

Questions about the different streams? Come to our workshop designed to teach students about the different streams in the BKIN degree and how it impacts them and how they can work with them!

Prizes are available for all participants but a GRAND PRIZE will be up for grabs if your team is willing to take on the challenge!

Hi Kinners, it’s FINALLY time for MARCH MADNESS!

Sign up with your friends as a team of four or register as a free agent for this EPIC 3v3 basketball tournament. Your team will fight for the yearlong bragging right of being the KUS March Madness Champs of 2024.

Join KUS Sustainability and Get Thrifty UBC at our fabulous clothing swap in the Nest. To help us out we are asking you to take those gently used and loved clothes you have that are in need of a new home and donate them, so they can be loved by someone else and help the planet at the same time. 

If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in then bring your clothes down to the KUS office during executive hours in a bag with your name and number of items on it! Read the post for details on items we are accepting! We will sort through your items and assign you a credit that you can then redeem at the event and find your new look! We will also be doing swaps at the event if you are unable to donate ahead of time, and therefore receive a credit at that time. 

If you are unable to donate but would still like to check out the event we will be having set prices on items that are available for purchase - with proceeds going towards a local charity!

All leftover items will be donated to local shelters and save them from putting excess strain on landfills! Let’s win the fight against fast fashion and bring in a greener and more affordable 2024!
