As the Grad Committee Coordinator, our role is to make the final year for the Class of 2026 truly unforgettable. We bring kinners together by planning events that spark connection, celebration, and plenty of laughs before everyone heads off to their next adventure. Throughout the year, we host events all designed to help kinners bond, reminisce, and enjoy one last kin-credible ride together. These gatherings give grads the chance to reflect on their journey, celebrate their achievements, and share one final hoorah with the people who made their undergrad years so special. The Grad Committee ensures every graduating kin leaves with lasting memories, a strong sense of community, and the pride of being part of a kin-tastic class ready to take on the world.

KIN Games is one of the largest student-run undergraduate conferences in Canada, bringing together over 30 schools from across the country. This high-energy event celebrates four core pillars: dance, spirit, athletics, and academics. Throughout the year, our team of 16 students trains, bonds, and transforms into a tight-knit family. Together, we’ll compete, cheer, and represent our school with passion and pride. In March 2026, we’ll be traveling to Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario to participate in the national competition. To make this experience accessible, we’ll be fundraising throughout the year to offset travel and participation costs. The year is packed with exciting retreats, practices, and memories — it’s not just a competition, but an unforgettable university experience and a chance to make lifelong friends.

The Professional Development Coordinators are responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a team of student volunteers to deliver a variety of career-focused events throughout the academic year. The overall goal of the Coordinators is to provide accessible, high-quality, and diverse opportunities that support the professional growth of undergraduate students. By collaborating with other undergraduate societies and campus partners, the Coordinators work to foster meaningful career-based connections through both in-person and online events. The committee is committed to creating an inclusive environment where students can explore future career options, engage in open dialogue, and gain valuable insight from professionals across a wide range of fields. Events are designed to educate students, foster interest, and encourage the exploration of career pathways. Students are encouraged to ask questions, connect with panelists, and begin building their professional networks early on. This year, the PD Committee plans to host numerous events, including a physiotherapy panel, medicine panel, and research night, among others. Each event aims to help students explore their interests and gain valuable knowledge to support their future aspirations.

As KAS Coordinators, we aim to support Kinesiology students academically through both events and resources to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages academic success, connection, and the sharing of knowledge. By creating these environments, we hope that students are able to freely express themselves and feel connected to both the School of Kinesiology, the KUS, and their peers. The events that we plan to hold usually combine fun and academics together. In the coming year, you might find events like Info Sessions, Trivia Nights, Tipsy Trivia, Study Sessions, and Exam Preparation Workshops. In addition to hosting events, KAS is planning to expand our online study resources, including practice questions and flashcard decks on both Anki and Quizlet.

We strive to provide a safe and positive space and to create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with others while bringing awareness to the importance of mental health. Beyond our wellness campaigns, we also hold many engaging events throughout the school year that encourage relaxation and community building, including Puppy Yoga, Cookin’ with KiWe, and Pancake Breakfasts! We hope that through our events, we can help open up the topic of mental health and wellness and offer students resources that they can turn to when they need to feel supported.

As KINference coordinators, we will be organizing a brand-new event that brings together the kin-munity for a day of interactive workshops, hands-on stations, academic resources, diverse career panels, and meaningful networking. This student-led conference is designed to support the personal and professional development of KIN students in a way that feels relevant, engaging, and exciting. Whether you are interested in policy and law, public health, or healthcare, this event is your chance to discover possibilities you may have never even considered. From making new connections and talking to professionals, to learning hands-on skills and gaining practical advice, KINference is about helping students take meaningful steps toward a future that feels personally valuable. Whether you are preparing for grad school, entering the workforce, or still figuring it all out, KINference is a space for exploration, growth, and fun!

Our role as the KINtramurals Coordinators includes organizing drop-in style intramural events. All of our drop-ins allow kinesiology students to play sports and participate in physical activity, all while being in a fun and inclusive environment. As KINtramural Coordinators, we are also involved with the KUS Fitness Subsidy. This encourages kinesiology students to engage in active living as it awards partial compensation when students purchase fitness equipment or gym memberships.
